3. What Personal Data We Collect and For What Purpose

3.1. When You Visit Our Website (Server Log Files)

When you access our Website, our systems, operated through our web infrastructure provider Cloudflare, automatically collect and store certain information in server log files. This is a standard procedure for almost all websites. The data collected includes:

  • The IP address of the requesting computer
  • The date and time of the server request
  • The name and URL of the retrieved file
  • The website from which the access was made (referrer URL)
  • The browser type and version you are using
  • The operating system of your computer
  • The name of your internet access provider

The collection and processing of this data are based on our legitimate interest to:

  • Ensure a stable and secure connection to our Website.
  • Guarantee the comfortable use of our Website.
  • Analyze system security and stability for protective measures against attacks.
  • For administrative purposes.

We do not use this data to draw direct conclusions about your identity.

3.2. When You Contact Us (e.g., via Email or Contact Form)

If you contact us via the email addresses provided on our Website or through any contact forms we may implement, we will collect the personal data you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. We process this data for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and for any follow-up communications.

3.3. For Venture Capital Activities (e.g., Pitch Deck Submissions)

Should you submit business plans, pitch decks, or other confidential information to us for investment consideration, we will process the personal data contained within these documents. The processing of this data is for the exclusive purpose of evaluating your submission for potential investment. We treat this information with the highest degree of confidentiality.

4. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Website uses cookies to enhance your browsing experience. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device by your web browser.

  • Technically Necessary Cookies: We use cookies that are essential for the operation of our Website and to provide basic functionalities.
  • Performance and Analytics Cookies: We may use cookies to understand how visitors interact with our Website. These are used only with your consent.

Local Storage: Our product feedback tool (see Section 5.3) stores a randomly generated, anonymous visitor identifier, a session identifier, and your “don't ask again” preference in your browser's local storage. These values contain no personal details and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies. However, please note that if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our Website.

5. Data Processing by Third Parties and International Data Transfers

5.1. Our Primary Infrastructure Provider: Cloudflare

Our Website is hosted and secured by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. As Cloudflare is a U.S.-based company, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries. We rely on Cloudflare's compliance with recognized data transfer mechanisms, such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure an adequate level of data protection. For more information, please see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

5.2. Social Media Links

Our Website may contain links to our profiles on social media platforms like LinkedIn. These are simple links. By clicking on them, you will be redirected to the respective platform, which has its own privacy policies.

5.3. Product Feedback Tool: Waldo

To detect usability problems and improve our Website, we use Waldo (waldoagent.ai), a product friction detection service operated from Zürich, Switzerland. A small script on our Website observes interaction patterns that indicate confusion, such as repeated clicks on the same element, clicks that have no visible effect, or errors in the browser, and may show a short in-page question asking what you were trying to do. Answering is voluntary; you can close the dialog or choose “Don't ask again” at any time. The data transmitted to Waldo is limited to:

  • The type of interaction event and its timestamp
  • The page path on which it occurred
  • A masked label or selector of the affected page element and, where relevant, a numeric magnitude (e.g., the number of clicks)
  • A randomly generated anonymous visitor identifier and a session identifier
  • Any answers you choose to type into the in-page question

Waldo does not read the values you enter into forms, text you copy, the contents of error messages, or the HTML of the page, and we do not use session recording. Requests are relayed through our own servers, so Waldo does not receive your IP address. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional and user-friendly Website. The data is retained only as long as necessary to analyze and resolve the identified usability issues.

6. Data Retention

We store your personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as long as we are legally obligated to do so.

7. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Information: You can request information about the personal data we process about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request the deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to Restriction of Processing: You can request that we limit the processing of your data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request to receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 1. We may require proof of your identity.

8. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously reviewed and improved in line with technological developments.

9. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection laws.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. The version published on our Website is the current version.
